Foodhandler’s Information
- Please provide exact change, $10.
- No food or drinks in the classroom.
To obtain a food handler’s card at the Brazos County Health District, you must attend a two-hour class.
- To attend the food handler’s class, you must pre-register at least 30 minutes before the class. You must Pre-register at the Brazos County Health Department, 201 North Texas Avenue, Bryan. The class is filled on a first come, first serve basis. We only take the first 50 students.
- There is a fee of $10 payable at registration via cash, credit, debit or local check.
- You need to arrive 5-10 minutes early. Doors will be closed at the scheduled start time. If you miss your class date and would like to reschedule, please call (979) 361-5742. You are allowed to reschedule a maximum of 2 times in addition to the original schedule. After the second rescheduling, your money is forfeited and you must repay if you still need a food handler’s card.
- You have 90 days in which to attend the class from the date of the original receipt. After 90 days, you forfeit your money.
- Classes are held at 201 North Texas Avenue.
- Visitors and children are not allowed in class.
- Bring a pen or pencil to class.
- After attending class, you are given a state certified card that is good for 2 years in Brazos County.
- No refunds.
